Building A Career In Digital Marketing: Skills, Tools, and Strategies for Future Professionals

Medan, 29 June 2026 – The Potential Main University Career Development Center successfully held a webinar entitled "Building A Career In Digital Marketing: Skills, Tools, And Strategies For Future Professionals" on Monday, 29 June 2026. This activity, which took place online via the Zoom Meeting platform, was attended by 357 participants consisting of students, alumni and the academic community of Potential Main University.

This webinar presents competent speakers in their fields, namely Mr. Ariq Megantoro as a Customer Success Associate from Kinobi. In his presentation, he shared in-depth insights regarding the skills, experience and mindset needed to build a career in the digital marketing field, especially facing the challenges of the world of work in 2026.

The activity opened with remarks from the Head of the Career Development Center at Potential Main University, who conveyed the importance of early career planning for students. He emphasized that career readiness is not only determined by academic ability, but also understanding one's potential, competencies relevant to market needs, as well as careful and directed planning.

The material presented in the webinar covers various important aspects, starting from self-introduction, exploring career options in the digital marketing field, technical (hard skills) and non-technical (soft skills) skills needed, to strategies for building a professional career. Participants were also given an understanding of work ethics and professional culture in the work environment as well as tips for dealing with the recruitment process, including creating an attractive CV, interview techniques and professional communication.

The interactive question and answer session was dynamic, where participants enthusiastically asked questions about challenges and opportunities in the digital marketing field. The resource person provided applicable and inspiring answers, so that participants got a concrete picture of the steps they need to take to start a career in this industry.

The activity, which took place from 14.00 to 16.00 WIB, closed with a group photo session between the resource person, the committee and all participants. It is hoped that this webinar will be able to make a positive contribution to students and alumni of Main Potential University in increasing their career readiness and competitiveness in an increasingly competitive world of work.
