FISK UPU WELCOMES THE INITIATION OF THE ARYA DUTA HOTEL COLLABORATION
Following up on the Implementation of Collaboration that has been carried out by the English Language Education Study Program, Main Potential University (PBI UPU), which has held activitiesTable Manner CourseAndHotel Tourat the Arya Duta Hotel a few moments ago, Arya Duta made a working visit to the Main Potential University (Wednesday/ 8 July 2026).
Present at this activity, representing Main Potential University, Dr. Ashari P Swondo, S.Pd., M.Hum as Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Education (FISK), Mrs. Siti Andina, S.Sos as HRD, Mrs. Dr. Enni Maisaroh, S.Pd., M.Hum. as Head of PBI UPU Study Program, Mrs. Titim Eliawati, M.Pd as PBI UPU Lecturer and Mr. Fherry Agustin, M.Kom as Head of National Cooperation Department UPU. Meanwhile, Hotel Arya Duta was represented by Mr. Loris Ardika, as Sales Manager and Ms. Yuni Berlin as F&B representative.
In his speech, Ashari stated that FISK has two study programs, namely English Language Education (PBI) and International Relations (HI), which often carry out activitiestable mannerAndhotel tourto support learning achievements, especially to improve soft skills and global professionalism of graduates as prospective diplomats and professional English language educators.
On this occasion, the Head of UPU Cooperation, Mr. Fherry Agustin, explained a number of collaboration options that could be carried out by the two institutions and the flow of cooperation that is usually carried out in universities, such as signingMemorandum ofUnderstanding(MoU) at university level,Memorandum of Agreement(MoA) at faculty level andImplementation of Agreement(IA) or cooperation agreement (PKS) at the study program level.
Mrs. Siti Andina, as UPU HRD, expressed the idea of collaborative collaboration in the field of improving human resources through workshops/training which can be facilitated by resource persons from both institutions. Mrs. Andin also added that UPU has an employee/executive class study program which can be an option for Arya Duta hotel staff who wish to undertake further studies, both undergraduate and master's programs at the Main Potential University.
The Aryaduta Hotel representative, Mr. Loris, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the warm welcome and implementation of the collaboration carried out by UPU. He also conveyed the purpose of their visit to initiate a wider collaboration with the UPU campus. Mr. Loris also explained an overview of the main duties and functions of the professional ranks who work both in the front office and back office at the Arya Duta hotel and also the skillsets that must be possessed to be able to successfully pursue a profession in the hotel and hospitality sector. "English language competency is a skill that must be possessed by professionals in the hospitality sector. Aryaduta is a star hotel that has national and international networking where many foreign guests stay at the Arya Duta hotel, especially during the summer holiday season," he said.
The exploration of cooperation and initiation of collaboration from the Aryaduta Hotel is a very positive thing for the development of the UPU campus. Effortlink-and-matchIt aims to equip students with relevant knowledge and skillsup-to-date, direct work experience through an internship program in the Aryaduta Hotels network, as well as the opportunity to be recruited after graduation by a leading hotel group which has a total of 10 networks throughout Indonesia.
Apart from this, a joint discussion with representatives from Aryaduta Hotel, which is an external stakeholder of FISK UPU, was providedFeedbackpositive as a basis for reviewing and evaluating the curriculum implemented in the International Relations and English Language Education study program, FISK UPU. The results of this discussion can also be a reflection of the achievement of the vision of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Education and the scientific vision of the PBI UPU study program in the future which is required to be able to produce graduates who have global skills and competencies, concluded Ashari.
