PRINTING DIPLOMAT CANDIDATES, HI UPU HOLDS SHORT DIPLOMATIC COURSE AND TABLE MANNER
The International Relations Study Program at Potential Main University (HI UPU) is holding activities againShort Diplomatic Course (SDC) dan Table Manner.This activity is an annual routine activity which consists of several series of events, namelyShort Diplomatic Course(SDC) which was held in the Hall of Building B, Main Potential University, which was then continued with the eventTable Mannerwhich was held by the Grand Inna Hotel Medan.
This SDC and Table Manner activity aims to introduce and provide an overview to HI students regarding trial procedures that are similar toModel United Nations(MUN) and is also a facility provided by the UPU International Relations Study Program so that students gain insight into the ethics of receiving professional meals.
Specialized in sessionsTable Manner, students gain a thorough understanding of formal banquet etiquette starting from the placement and use of equipment, basic rulescourse serving, to the etiquette of communicating at the dinner table. Not only do they understand theory, students also practice each step directly so that the training is interactive and applicable.
Head of HI UPU Study Program, Mrs. Dr. Stivani Ismawira, M.H.I stated that this training is an important investment in building the professionalism of International Relations students, as well as preparing them to face diplomatic situations that require precision, cultural sensitivity, and a deep understanding of international protocols. "As prospective diplomats, HI UPU students must understand the etiquette of banquets. Because banquets are a form of diplomacy to maintain relations between countries," he added.

The coordinator of the Diplomacy lecturer, Mrs. Aulia Sri Fauzi, S.Sos., M.H.I., explained thatTable Manneris a series of diplomatic practices that students must undergo in one semester. “This isn't just eating etiquette training, howeversoft skilldiplomacy, namely the ability to socialize, understand the cultural context, and place oneself in formal situations," he explained.
Interestingly, in activitiesTable Mannerthis year an election was heldThe Best Participant of Table Mannerby the facilitator based on consideration of a number of criteria. And finally, 3 HI UPU students, namely: Zamzami, Pinterson and Irada were selected as the best table manner course participants at this event.
